Kpop Luxury Brand Ambassadors

Erica An

If you follow K-pop idols well, you’ll notice they all promote certain luxury brands in their social media posts; whether it be bags, clothes, or accessories, you name it. K-pop has exploded so much throughout the years that luxury brands have taken notice to these idols and decided to represent them as the faces of their company, showing the strong influence K-pop has from not only the music industry, but the fashion industry as well. From Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, to Cartier, Dior, and more, here’s 8 K-pop idols and the brands they stay loyal to!

  1. EXO Sehun of Dior

Since 2020, EXO’s youngest member and rapper Sehun has been serving with various stunning outfits from Dior’s extravagant fashion. He appeared at many Dior events, such as Dior’s Fall 2022 and 2023 shows, Dior Men's 2022 Winter Collection Event, Dior’s Summer 2023 show, and more. His charming looks and fashion sense compliment the brand graciously, and is perfect for the face of Dior’s Men’s fashion, which allows us to comprehend how majestic of an idol he is. Being one of Dior’s most attractive ambassadors in Korea is NOT easy… can you really blame anyone for falling for him? (Isn’t he so handsome?)

  1. BLACKPINK Jisoo of Dior and Cartier

Speaking of Dior, prominent BLACKPINK’s Jisoo would become Dior’s global ambassador in 2021, and recently, Cartier’s newest member. Her alluring beauty and elegance captured the attention of the two brands, and would soon become one of the most important ambassadors of Dior, and later join Cartier as well. I mean, what’s there not to like about her soft, cute look?

  1. BLACKPINK’s Jennie of Chanel (and Calvin Klein)

Not only is BLACKPINK Jisoo an honorable ambassador for a luxury brand, but so are the rest of the members of the group – such as Jennie! Since 2018, Jennie has been Chanel’s global muse and has been nicknamed the “Human Chanel” by Blinks. In fact, she’s quite a special ambassador: she was handpicked by infamous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld himself before his passing in 2019, making her his “last chosen muse” according to Vogue. People claim she is SO perfect for Chanel that, as mentioned, she is quite literally the “Human Chanel” – and we couldn’t agree more.

  1. BTS Taehyung of CELINE

And of course, we can’t ever forget BTS. It’s no surprise that the boy band has captured the hearts of millions with their incredible talent and visuals – including luxury brands! Recently this year, V was confirmed as Celine’s newest global ambassador and wow, he is just perfect for it. His stunning looks swoon fans (as always), making all of us realize it’s no wonder that Celine chose V to be the muse of their brand. (He’s an ambassador alongside BLACKPINK’s Lisa and famous Korean actor Park Bogum as well!)

  1. IU of Gucci

Lilac” singer IU is, to no surprise yet again, a well-known global brand ambassador for Gucci. It was only 2022 when she became the luxury brand’s main image. Her extraordinary outfits caught attention of many, especially her appearance at the Met Gala the same year she became an ambassador. She walked the red carpet wearing a beautiful, sage green dress decorated with sequins made by Gucci itself. Although she had been closely affiliated with the brand for quite some time, it was from that moment on that she became the face of the house!

  1. EXO Baekhyun of Burberry

In 2020, another EXO member was announced as brand ambassador – Baekhyun, one of the most popular members from the group, was declared Burberry’s new member during pandemic season. After posing on Harper’s Bazaar wearing Burberry fashion, the main vocalist became the first male kpop artist to be featured solo on the magazine, and would continue to be the nature of the fashion brand. This garnered a lot of support and pride from EXO-Ls because honestly, who wouldn’t be proud of him? He earned it with his endearing visuals and impressive skills in the kpop industry!

  1. TWICE Sana of Graff

Ever heard of Graff? If you haven’t, me neither. Graff is actually known as a brand only billionaires can afford, with their shockingly high prices, exquisite jewelry, and shocking new ambassador for Japan: none other than TWICE’s Sana. Ranked as an “ultra high end” brand, ONCEs were shocked when the South Korean-Japanese singer became their brand ambassador, as one of the necklaces she wore was worth a whopping 920,000 USD! Graff may not be one of the most well-known luxury brands, but it does have the highest prices we’ve ever seen. Some of the few (very rich) people that have worn Graff include the royals Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana.

  1. BTS J-Hope of LV

Yet another BTS member became the striking sensation of one of the top luxury brands: Louis Vuitton. J-Hope’s bold sense of fashion and charisma allowed him to absolutely kill his Louis Vuitton debut campaign, where he showed off LV suits of bold, monochrome colors and an LV handbag to accompany him. The rapper and main dancer of the popular boy group sways around in the video to show just how majestic he really is as a human being.

Honorable Mention: NewJeans’ Hanni of Gucci and Haerin of Dior

“Hurry up, don’t be lazy.” Luxury brands Gucci and Dior were anything BUT lazy when it came to appointing NewJeans as their newest and youngest ambassadors! Both Hanni and Haerin have been working hard to promote the big companies. Hanni’s big debut in the Italian powerhouse was her Gucci campaign back in March of this year, alongside actresses Halle Bailey and Julia Garner; meanwhile Dior would name Haerin as their ambassador not even a month later.

Additionally, Haerin would be the last member of NewJeans to “secure a deal with a luxury brand”, because the other NewJeans members had become associated with brands as well: Hyein with Louis Vuitton, Minji with Chanel, and Danielle with Burberry. The girls are so young yet already so talented and gorgeous, attracting Netizens and the whole fashion/beauty industry left and right!

Many K-pop artists have secured deals with luxury brands to promote the fashion industry even further, including ones that weren’t covered in this blog. However, each and every one of them are talented individuals who are strengthening the Korean influence in other industries – not just music – through their passion and growth. Did you know about any of these kpop artists being ambassadors? Which ambassadors are your favorite? What other kpop artists are ambassadors that we haven’t mentioned? Let us know in the comments!
